The virtual Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race allows participants to walk or run 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) wherever they are, as an individual or in a team of up to three people. Team-mates can walk or run together in person or virtually, perhaps using their smartphones.
Registration: To register click here starting May 11th.
Race Kits: All registered participants will receive a race kit to be picked up at a scheduled race packet pickup, details TBD, for those out of State, your kits will be mailed to you via USPS at the address provided during registration. Each kit will include a race bib and a commemorative piece of swag TBD mailed to them via USPS at the address provided during registration.
Training: We recommend that you train and complete this virtual event with small groups of co-workers,together in person or virtual, as evidence shows that participating in wellness activities with co-workers promotes physically active lifestyles on and off the job, leading to better health. All participants, whether training for or in the process of completing the virtual event, must practice social distancing measures as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Vermont Department of Health.
Race Day: Any day Between 9/1/2021 - 10/31/2021: Participants can choose any day between September 1st through October 31, 2021 to complete your 5K (3.1 miles).
Course: Racers can create their own 5K route. The course can be anywhere: a treadmill, a park, along neighborhood streets or country roads. Participants are urged to use caution and be alert to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Important: All participants must practice social distancing and follow the guidelines of the CDC and the Vermont Department of Health if applicable at time of race.
Pace: Run or walk at your own pace.
Awards: As participants will be on the honor system and submitting their own finish times, we will not be offering our normal category awards for the virtual event.

Please Note: Participants are not required to submit a finishing time, but those that do will receive a downloadable finishing certificate via email.

Registration Fees: Registration Fee: $28.00 per person until June 6th, @ 11:59pm. On June 7th the entry fee increases to $33 per person. Includes Bib, and swag TBD. No refunds.
The proceeds from this event benefit the many programs and events of the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, including the following programs: Exercise is Medicine; Worksite Wellness Awards & Conference; Learn to Ski and Snowboard; Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race; Vermont Senior Games; Park Bench Yoga; and Fit and Healthy Kids.
